She was a life-long resident of the county, being born in Orleans township, moving to Ionia about 10 years ago. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from the late home, with Mrs. C. M. Faude, reader of the local Christian Science society, of which the deceased had been a member, in charge. B. J. Boynton was the officiating undertaker, and interment was made in Orleans cemetery. She is survived by her husband, who is the local truant officer; a daughter, Mrs. Harry Mills, of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Wallace Haight and Mrs. Jennie Hubbell of Ionia, Mrs. Merton Eaves, Belding; two brothers, John VanGeisen and Ferry VanGeisen, both of Orleans township.
