The Ionia Standard, 15 & 22 March 1900

Mrs. Ann Pitt, widow of the late Frederick Pitt, of Orleans, died Tuesday
morning at 5 o'clock at her home, aged 78 years.  Funeral Friday from the
Orleans church at 1 p. m., interment in Orleans cemetery. Rev. W. H. Thomas will
officiate. Deceased has been a resident of Ionia County for a great many years,
and is well known as a lady of the most noble and Christian like traits of
character, whose demise will be learned with sorrow.

Mrs. Pitts passed quietly away Tuesday morning after a short illness. The
funeral services were conducted by Rev. Thomas, of Ionia, at the Orleans M. E.
church, Friday, at 1:30 o'clock. She leaves two sons and one daughter, also a
large circle of friends to mourn the loss of a loving parent and ever faithful
friend.
