Ionia Sentinel Standard, 29 Mar 1973

Clyde E. Pittman, 63, of rural Portland, died in Ionia Manor March 28.  He was a
former Lansing resident and moved to Portland about seven years ago.  Born April 10,
1909 in Mishawaka, Ind., he was formerly an inspector for a Lansing automobile
plant.

Surviving besides his wife, Martha, is one son, William Grames of Edwardsburg; two
stepsons, William Gibbs of Lansing and Albert Clark of Mason; two stepdaughters,
Mrs. Betty Mondock of Westland, Mrs. Shirley Darling of Lansing, and 22
grandchildren.

The body is at Neller funeral home in Portland where services will be at 1:30 p.m.
March 31, the Rev. Maurice Christenson of First Baptist church officiating.  Bearers
will be Kenneth Day, Brooks Miller, George Guff, George Hudson, Wade Buckley and
Raymond Hoskins.  Burial will be in North Eagle cemetery.
