Interment will be in the family lot in Highland Park cemetery. Miss Place was a niece of Wm. D. Place who formerly owned Highland Park cemetery and a part of Prairie Creek. She was born and brought up in Ionia and attended the Ionia high school. She was the daughter of Mrs. Charles O’Neil and Polk Place. Services for Miss Place were held in Pittsburgh Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock and the body was shipped by rail to Ionia immediately following the service. Miss Place was an invalid most of her life, and lived with her sister, Miss Florence Place, who is a school teacher. One other sister, Mrs. Marion Byrd, is surviving. A brother, Harry, died some years ago. The deceased was about 60 years of age.
