The will of W. Dallas Place filed in probate office bequeaths his estate to be equally divided between Harriet O'Neil, sister-in-law, Mrs. Marion Mann, Florence Place and Luella Place, nieces, and the children of Harry Place, nephew. The real estate is put down at $6,500, and the person al property at $4,000. There are a few small special bequests, and the remainder of personal is to be sold and proceeds applied on mortgage on real estate. A. E. Jackson is named as executor. The funeral for William Dallas Place, at the old homestead, Friday afternoon, was largely attended, especially by old time residents. The floral tributes were many and fine. The discourse by Rev. D. Spencer was a high tribute to the character of deceased. He said in his long experience that this was the first time he had been called on to conduct funeral service in a home where this person was born, had lived all his life and reached so great an age as 63. The singing was by Mrs. E. Smith and Mrs. H. E. Spencer. The bearers were H. A. Rich, E. B. Hamilton, Jay Olmsted, Robert Carpenter, H. J. Voelker, and Samuel Kelly. Mr. and Mrs. Mann of Pittsburg were in attendance. Miss Florence Place did not get telegram in time.
