Mrs. Geo. Plant Died Friday At Her Farm Home

Mrs. George Plant, who has been a resident of Ionia city and vicinity for more
than 20 years, passed away at the farm home in Ronald township Friday afternoon
at 4:30 at the age of 61 years.  It would have been two years in August since
Mrs. Plant was first taken ill.  She had failed in health quite rapidly since a
year ago this month.

Besides her husband Mrs. Plant is survived by three children: Mrs. Charles
Lobdell, of Ronald township; Mrs. Wallace Wilcox, of Durand, and Miss Beatrice
Plant, at home.  Mrs. Plant is also survived by three brothers and three
sisters, John B. Lott, Charles Lott, and Lewis Lott, Mrs. William Potter, of
Mason, Mrs. Jane Rector, of Lansing, and Mrs. George Lowell, of Jackson.

The funeral will be held at the residence Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, city
time.  Burial will take place in the family lot at the Tuttle cemetery.

Funeral for Mrs. George Plant Held Monday Afternoon

The funeral service for the late Mrs. George Plant was largely attended from the
late home in Ronald township Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. M.H. Garrard,
pastor of the Church of Christ of Ionia, officiated and music was furnished by
Mrs. Eugene Smith and Mrs. Grace Cressey.  The bearers were Ed Higbee, Mr.
Carlson, Frank Loree and Mr. Evilsizer.  Burial took place in the family lot at
Tuttle cemetery.

A large delegation from the Church of Christ attended the service.  Among those
from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wilcox, of Durand; John B. Lott,
Charles Lott, Lewis Lott and Mrs. William Porter, of Mason; Mrs. Jane Rector, of
Lansing, and Mrs. George Lowell, of Jackson.
