Hastings Reminder - 15 February 2000
Mrs. Letha M. (McLenithan) Plants, age 93, of Lake Odessa, passed away Thursday 
evening, February 10, 2000 following a long struggle with Alzheimers disease.  
She was born on August 1, 1906 in Woodland Township, the daughter of Willie and 
Eva (Fox) Smith.  Letha married Russell McLenithan, who preceded her in death on 
June 1, 1956.

Letha and Russell had together developed McLenithan Sub-division on the 
southwest side of Jordan Lake.  She later married Vernon Plants who also 
preceded her in death.  Letha is survived by her children, Shirley and West 
Joppie of Lake Odessa, Sharon  and Buck Cunningham of Lake Odessa, Bill and 
Marilyn McLenithan of Woodland.
