Oct. 7, 1965 Three Lake Odessa Residents Killed Monday in One Car Crash on M-66 Marian Falk, a native of DeKalb, Ill., married Mr. Plants at Grand Rapids, August 16, 1930, and lived at Lansing before coming to Lake Odessa, nine years ago, when they purchased the friendly Tavern. She was a member of the Lake Odessa chapter Order of the Eastern Star and Women of the Moose of Ionia. Surviving are her husband; two sons Robert B., stationed with the Air Force at Dover, Dela., and Allan at home, one granddaughter; her mother Mrs. John Fry of Hastings; a half-sister Janet and two half-brothers, Charles and Paul Falk of Marne. Funeral services are being held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral Chapel with burial in lakeside cemetery. Rev. Luther Brokaw officiating. The accident happened about 2:10 p.m. as Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett and Mrs. Plants were south bound on M-66, Mrs. Plant was driving the auto. According to State Police who investigated, the car crossed the center line and left the highway on the east side of the road before crashing head on into a tree. There were no skid marks at the scene of the accident.
