WESTPHALIA- Anthony J. Platte, 82, of 200 Westphalia St., died Wednesday at 
Ionia Manor.

Platte was born Nov. 16, 1897, in Clinton County, the soon of Ferdinand Platte 
and Catherine Pung.

His wife, Erma, preceded him in death in 1973.

Surviving are three sons, John and Rodney of Lansing, and Hilary of Portland; 
two stepsons, Harold Howard of Lansing and Robert Howard of Harrison; four 
daughters, Mrs. Eileen Benton of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Rose Mary Lyon of 
Mulliken, Miss Gertrude Platte of Lansing and Mrs. Pauline Purvis of Lansing; 
23 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Bernard of Lyons 
and Norman of Westphalia.

A rosary will be said at 3 and 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday in St. Mary's Chapel.

A funeral mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Chapel, with the 
Rev. Fe. James Schmitt officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Neller Funeral Home.
