She was born on January 30, 1935 in Republic, MI the daughter of Philip and Dorothy Schiska. Jo was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pewamo. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, knitting, sewing, and spending time at the family island in Republic. Preceding her in death were her parents, and her two little angels. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Leon; children, Larry (Lucy) Pline of Lansing, Denise (Terry) Harrison of Lansing, Roger Pline of Pewamo, Phil (Karen) Pline of Pewamo, and Tom (Barb) Pline of Pewamo; 13 grandchildren; sister, Carlette “Cardy” Lindblom of Houston, TX; several in-laws. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo, with Rev. Charlon O. Mason presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Pewamo. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. Rosaries will be prayed at 8 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday, and a Scriptural Wake Service held at 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
