The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, April 2006
John. E. Pline, aged 82, of Lyons, passed away April 27, 2006. He was born 
July 17, 1923 in Ann Arbor, MI the son of Alfred and Susannah (Harris) Pline.  
He married Catherine Heston February 28, 1946 in Illinois.  He served in the 
Army in W.W II. He was a member of the Lyons V.F.W. He loved painting, 
fishing, hunting and camping. He worked as a factory worker for TRW retiring 
in 1985.

John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Catherine Pline of Lyons; 
children Linda and Charles Buskirk of Remis, Sandy and Gordie Fyan of 
Sunfield, Sue and Dave Ruehs of Lyons, John and Randee Pline of Lyons, Gary 
and Heather Pline of Ionia, and Kathy and Bruce Kenyon of Portland; sister 
Ellen and Dale Vander Yacht of Zealand; thirteen grandchildren and eleven 
great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sons Michael A. Pline 
and Kenneth E. Pline.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Muir 
with Pastor Ed Filter officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Anyone wishing to may 
make memorial contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.
