Pline, 20, who expired at the parental homestead, one quarter mile east of Maple Corners in Portland township following an illness of 14 days. The young man was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Pline and was born within a stone’s throw of the place where he died. For the past year he had been in the employ of Anthony Finies at Westphalia as drayman. He was a favorite among this associates and his death leaves a profound degree of sorrow in its wake. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of their many friends. Funeral services for the unfortunate young victim were held at St. Mary’s church, in Westphalia, Wednesday morning at 9:00 and the remains were laid to rest in the Westphalia township cemetery. Besides the parents deceased is survived by a sister, Mrs. John Bedenbender of Lyons, and four brothers, Alfred F. Pline of Lyons, and Messrs. Edward N., Benjamin and Joseph, residing at home.
