The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 8, 1942

Walter H. Plummer, 72, died at 2 o’clock Tuesday morning at his home at 240 
Yeomans street.  He had been in poor health for the past seven years and 
seriously ill for the past three weeks.

He was born in Ohio, March 27, 1870 and came to Michigan in 1907.  June 25, 
1919 he was married to Eva M. Roberts of Grand Rapids and they have always 
made their home in Ionia.  He had been employed by the Stafford Manufacturing 
company, Hayes Body corporation and the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company.  He 
was a member of he F&AM and IOOF lodge.

Surviving him are his wife, Eva, a daughter, Mrs. Jack Jones, of Lansing; two 
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Rilly Pryke and Mrs. Florence McCollun both 
of Toledo, Ohio; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, at 2:30 o’clock from the 
Stone funeral home. Rev. C. A. Brady of the Church of Christ will officiate 
and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
