SYLVIA POFF DIED MON. MORNING ------------- Mrs. Sylvia Darling Poff, 72, passed away early Monday morning after a long illness, in the home of Mrs. Leitha Rowland here. Mrs. Poff was born at Eckford on June 24, 1871, and was married to William Poff at Carson City on September 25, 1894. They came to Lake Odessa in 1905 and lived here until 1912 when they moved to Marshall, then in 1921 they returned to this village where the remainder of their lives was spent. Mr. Poff died about 16 years ago. Mrs. Poff is survived by one son Howard D. here; three daughters, Mrs Hazel Middling and Mrs. Helen Rainbow at Battle Creek, Mrs. Rosetta Beck in Lansing, and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Philo Darling at Carson City, Charles, William and Floyd at Lansing. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Wortley & Baine chapel with the Rev. C. E. Thies officiating. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery here.
