Portland Review - Monday, March 20, 1995

Walter S. Pohl, 84, of Eagle died March 13, 1995.

Mr. Pohl was born in Beal City, Sept. 10, 1910. He was retired from T.R.W. and a 
retired farmer. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene; three daughters, Kathleen (Paul) Hengesbach of 
Eagle, Patricia Pohl of Owosso, and Diane Pung of Portland; son, Michael Pohl of 
Eagle; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six sisters, Hilda Tomlinson 
of Eagle, Magaline Strong of Portland, Dorothy Wakely of Lansing, Rosemary Pung of 
Eatle, and Cecilia Ward and Elaine Feldpausch, both of Florida; and sister-in-law, 
Mary Pohl of Portland.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Eileen, and son, Kenneth.

The rosary was recited March 14. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated March 
15 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Rev. Larry King officiating. Interment 
followed at Portland Cemetery.
