            POLHMUS

Ruth Martha Polhamus, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024.

ruth was a longtime parishioner of St.Patrick's Church in Portland, Michigan.

Ruth was a devoted homemaker to her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking daily 
and especially for birthdays and holidays. For many years, she provided an 
annual winter birthday celebrating all the winter birthdays in our family by 
preparing er special recipe of "Spaghetti and Homemade Meatballs."

With the loss of her first husband (Jack Stahi) Ruth raised and supported her 
five(5) Children Lynne, Mark, Michelle, Kyle and Jackie on her own by working at 
the D & C Dime store and ironing for her neighbors and others.Ruth was a wonder- 
ful, loving mom and grandma, who never complained, and her family always looks 
back at her example to carry on in difficult times.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Herman & Lena Hall, daughter Jackie 
Stahl (Martin) and son Mark Stahl. She leaves behind her husband,John Polhamus, 
children Lynne(Ron)Judge,Michelle Remington and Kyle (Janice) Stahl. Her 
grandchildren, Brian Judge, Heather (Todd) Maxon, Laura (Mike) Harringon, 
Danielle Marines,Shirley and Billy Jo Gross & Kurt Remington. Her great-
grandchildren, Andrew, Aidan, Riegan & Blake Judge, Ryan & Brandon Maxon, Hunter 
& Nick Stahl, Josh and Jacob Martin, Mariah Fedewa, Darius, Atraeus, Aliyah 
Marines, Kenneth & Mikey Harrington, Matthew Snay, Cody, Jeremiah, Alisha and 
Gabrial Remington.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.,Saturday September 21, 2024, 
at St.Patrick's Catholic Church, 140 Church St.,Portland,Michigan, 48875. The 
family will receive friends for one (1) hour prior to the Funeral Mass on 
Saturday.
