Ionia Sentinel Standard, 18 Dec 1975

Paul H. Pomerville, 79, of 609 West Riverside drive, died Wednesday noon at the
Belding Christian Nursing home where he had been a patient the past few weeks.  Born
in Munger March 2, 1896, he was the son of William and Mary Dubey Pomerville.

After finishing school at Munger he entered the service during World War I serving
overseas with the army.  Following his discharge from the service he moved to Ionia
where he married Beulah Steel at SS Peter and Paul church in 1920.  She died in
1970.

In September of 1971 he was married to Bertha Smith at SS Peter and Paul church and
she survives as do a son, Gerald, and a daughter, Mrs. Yolanda Mileski, both of
Ionia; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Eva
Jablonski of Bay City.

He was employed by the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company several years and worked at
the Ionia State hospital 25 years, retiring in 1964, as ward supervisor.  After
retirement he spent 11 winters in Florida.

He was a member of the SS Peter and Paul church, life member of the Fr. Fietle
council of the Knights of Columbus and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and
the World War I Veterans and also was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Senior
Citizens.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the SS Peter and Paul church.  Rev. Edward
Orlowski will officiate and interment will be at the Mt. Olivet cemetery.  Parish
rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m. at the Leddick funeral home followed by the
Knights of Columbus rosary at 8:30 p.m.  Family members will be at the funeral home
Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
