Ionia Sentinel Standard, 25 Oct 1982

Funeral services were held Saturday morning for James J. Poole Sr. of Ionia who 
died Wednesday.  The services were held from SS. Peter and Paul church with 
celebrant Rev. Father Robert Schaden of Detroit and concelebrants Rev. Father 
Henry Dondzila of SS. Peter and Paul and Rev. Father Dennis Stillwell of Boyne 
City.  Church organist was Mrs. Mary Cusack while burial was in Mt. Olivet 
cemetery.  Honorable pallbearers were Frank Schaden and Byron Boyd.  Active 
bearers were Richard, Raymond and Robert Schafer; Claude Edwards; Andy Sibley; 
and Eugene O’Mara.

Prior to church services a family prayer service was held at the Leddick 
Funeral Home with Rev. Father Robert Schaden leading the prayer.  An honor 
guard was at the church formed by members of the Knights of Columbus.  
Following church services a luncheon was held for family and friends at the SS. 
Peter and Paul school cafeteria.
