Mrs. Popple died Monday morning. Although in ill health for some time, death was attributed to an accident she suffered a week prior to her death. She fell while arising from a chair in which she was sitting at the home of her niece, Mrs. Herbert Greenhoe. Following the accident she was confined to her bed where she was under constant medical attention and, in spite of all possible efforts to alleviate her suffering, she was the victim of intense pain until the release by death. It was from the home of Mrs. Greenhoe that services were conducted by Rev. Hines, of the Muir Church of Christ. Burial was in Highland Park cemetery, Ionia. Mrs. Popple was born at Guilderland, N. Y. 87 years ago. She came to Michigan with her husband, William Popple in 1869, shortly after they were married. Mr. Popple died in 1856. She had lived in and around Ionia many years and had maintained her home until about eight years ao when she went to spend her remaining years with her neice. Aside from Mrs. Greenhoe, she is survived by a nephew, Herbert Young, of the same vicinity.
