Shirley Anne Porter, 66, of Belding passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 29,
2004, at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, Greenville.  She was
born Sept. 14, 1938, in Highland Park, the daughter of Oren and Rachael Grice
Wertz.  On Aug. 4, 1956, she married Dave Porter in Detroit.

She was preceded by her father, Oren; granddaughter, Rachael Anne Waitkus; and
son-in-law, Robert Valleau.  She is survived by her husband, David Porter; their
children, Lynn and Gary Weinfurther of West Bloomfield, Vicki Valleau and Dave
Glass of Wyoming, Lori and Keith Waitkus of Wayne, Kelly and Joe Fleet of
Wyoming, David J. and Andrea Porter of Greenville, Robert Clayton Valleau of
Wyoming; grandchildren, Shawn, Devon, Brittany, Brandon, Colton, Annemarie,
Anastasia, Elizebeth, Joseph, Alexzander, Yasha; and mother, Rachael Wertz of
Farmington.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor David A. Oliver of Ashley Baptist Church officiating. 
Interment is in Ashley Cemetery.  The family will greet relatives and friends
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions
may be given to Make a Wish Foundation or the Girl Scouts.
