Hasting's Reminder - Sat. November 25, 2023

       ROSETTA PORTER

Rosetta "Rose" Porter, age 82 of Lake Odessa, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 
2023 peacefully at home with family.

Rose was born onJanuary 7, 1941 in Muskegon to Peter and Edith (Huff) McDonald. 
Rose was a nurses aid for many years. When not working she loved mushrooming, 
picking berries, making jam and gardening.

Rose will be lovingly remembered by children, Peter (Linda) Hough, Anna 
(Roy)Kenyon, Rosemary (Bob) Brown, Henry (Denise) Hough, George (Brenda) Hough; 
sister Nancy Feenstra' many grandchildren great grandchildren and great-great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Lela McDonald; husbands, 
Gene Porter and darrell Hough; grandson, Andy Brown; brother, Harry McKinley; 
brother-in-law, Wayne Feenstra.

The family would like to thank the staff of Corewell Hospice for the loving care 
they gave Rose.

According to her wishes creation has taken place and no services will be held at 
this time.A celebration of Life will be h eld on May 18, 2024 starting at 1 p.m, 
place to be decided later.
