The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, February 3, 1967


Clarence Possehn, 72, of 281 Summit street died Thursday at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital after a short illness.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran 
church and an employee of Root manufacturing company of Lowell.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon of Saranac and LaVerne of Easton township; two 
daughters, Mrs. Virginia Wingeier of Belding and Mrs. Norma Jean Staal of 
Lowell; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Schroeder of Pontiac; Mrs. Edith Church of 
Saranac, and Mrs. Bertha Townsend of Ionia; 16 grandchildren.

Rev. Roland Barkow will officiate at funeral services Monday at 2 p.m. at St. 
John Lutheran church.  Body reposes at Morris-Roetman funeral home in Saranac 
until time for services.  A memorial fund has been established for Lutheran 
children.
