Ronald William Possehn, aged 45, of Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully at his 
home early Saturday morning, September 16, 2006.  Ron was born in Hastings on 
September 17, 1961 to Tom and Katie Possehn.  He graduated from Lakewood High 
School in 1980.  Ron was united in marriage to Lori Hayes on October 9, 1982.  
He had been a printer with Alticor for over 15 years.  Ron enjoyed hunting and 
fishing, and carpentry work.  His family was very important to Ron, and he 
loved to watch his son’s sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; sons, Chad, Ryan, and Aaron; mother, Katie 
Possehn; sisters and brothers, Christine (Tom) Wilson, Tom (Julie) Possehn, 
Jeanne (Mark) Goosman, Patricia Eickhoff, and Cheryl (Scott) Farr; mother-in-
law and father-in-law, Robert and Nona Hayes; brother-in-law, Lance (Jennifer) 
Hayes; sister-in-law, Lisa (William) Richter; and many other loving relatives 
and friends.  Ron was preceded in death by his father, Tom Possehn; and 
brother-in-law, Jim “Rocky” Eickhoff.

Visitation will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on Tuesday, 
September 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The funeral service 
will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20 at the Ionia Church of the 
Nazarene (83 E. Tuttle Rd.).  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  The 
family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Church of 
the Nazarene, or Ionia Area Hospice.
