Viola Mae Possehn, age 78, of Saranac, passed away Aug. 16, 2007 at her home.  
She was born Sept. 30, 1928 in Conklin, Mich. the daughter of Arthur and 
Bernetta Camradt. Viola married Laverne Possehn May 3, 1946. She farmed with 
her husband for many years. They also owned and operated Possehn Gravel 
Company for many years.

Viola is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Laverne Possehn of 
Saranac; children, Ron “Buzz” Possehn and Sallie Barrix of Saranac, Bonnie 
Fewless of Ionia and Debra (Dave) Griebel of Belding; sister, Evelyn (Max) 
Wiles of Sheridan; grandchildren, Tina (Greg) Wolbers of Ionia, Jennifer 
Fewless of Florida, Ty Possehn of Ionia, Sherrie (Cliff) Fewless-Vaughn of 
Georgia, Lisa (Armando) Parra of Lowell and Heather Griebel of Lowell; great 
grandchildren, CJ Wolbers, Carter Wolbers, Marissa Griebel , Gavin Possehn and 
Armando David Parra. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter 
Connie and brothers, Herman Camradt and James Camradt.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac 
with Rev. David Bogda officiating. The family will receive friends and 
relatives Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Anyone wishing 
may make a memorial contribution in Viola's name to Ionia Area Hospice.
