Post, 73, died at his home at 237 South Dexter street Friday evening, October 25 at 11:30 o'clock following an illness of two weeks resulting from a stroke. Mr. Post was born in Campbell township in 1862 and spent his entire life in Ionia county living for a number of years in Saranac. He was a talented musician and for many years sold pianos and musical instruments and he also composed several pieces of music. For the past 30 years he had made his home in Ionia and operated a second hand store on West Main street before moving to his present home. Mrs. Post died in January 1935. Surviving is one brother, James C. Post of Cedar Springs, one grandchild and two nieces, Mrs. Myrtle Crator of Battle Creek and Mrs. Beulah Krupp, of Grand Rapids. Prayer service will be conducted from the Boynton funeral chapel Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock and funeral services from the Congregational church in Clarksville where he was organist for 20 years at 2 o'clock. Interment at the family lot at Clarksville cemetery.
