He was born in Orleans township, June 25, 1885 and was the son of the late Martin and Anna (Hinds) Post. Mr. Post was a telegraph operator and depot agent in Hemlock for 30 years and retired four years ago. He was previously an operator and agent at the Lowell, Ionia and Yale stations. His wife, Florence, died four years ago in Saginaw and a year later, he moved to Belding, where he purchased a home and has resided for the past three years. Surviving are a half sister, Mrs. L.A. Moys, a niece, Mrs. Harold Washburn, both at St. Paul, Minn.; an uncle, Albert H. Hinds of route four, Ionia; cousins, Roy Hinds, Mrs. Flora Longfield and Mrs. Clarissa Smith, all of route four, Ionia; Jesse and Mable Hinds of route two, Ionia, and a brother, Bert Post of Charlotte. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, August 26 at 2:30 at the Fitzjohn funeral home in Belding, with the Rev. Frank Gillett of Belding officiating. Interment will be in River Ridge cemetery, Belding.
