Unidentified Publication, 1904

James B. Post was born at Dansville, N. Y. June 28, 1838 and died at the home of
his son, J.C. Post in this village on Sunday February 28 aged 65 years and 8
months, of apoplexy.

At the age of seven he came with his parents to Michigan settling in Plainfield
township in Kent County.  On October 14, 1861 he was married to Miss Sarah C.
Dildine and in 1865 they moved to a farm in Campbell township, later moving to
Clarksville where he was engaged in business until last July when he suffered
the first stroke.  Since the first of the year he has made his home with his son
in this village.

There were five children born to them, John W., Leman H, James C., Chester L.
and Viola C.  Chester and Viola having passed on before.

He was a good citizen a kind husband and father and being one of the old
residents of Campbell township had a large circle of friends who will extend
their sympathy to the relatives in their affliction.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Congregational church,
Clarksville, conducted by Rev. Dr. Taylor.
