Ionia Sentinel - 28 January 1942
Mrs. Eugene Post, 87 year old Orleans pioneer, died Wednesday at 7 am at a 
convalescent home in Ionia.  Born Rachael Chickering, the daughter of Mr and 
Mrs George Chickering of Orleans, she has lived her entire life in that 
community.  Mr. Post died several years ago.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. 
Frank Hill of Orleans and Mrs. Frank Swartzloff of Greenville and a son, 
William of Orleans.  Also four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and an 
older brother, Daniel Chickering of Nelson, British Columbia.  Funeral services 
will be conducted Friday at 2 pm from the Fales funeral home in Belding.  Rev. 
Hubert Ellis of Belding will officiate and interment will be at Green cemetery 
in Orleans township.
