Lake Odessa Wave - Friday May 29, 1908

Mrs. Walter Post died very suddenly early Wednesday morning. Mr. Post as he 
awoke at an early hour found her just breathing her last, heart trouble being 
the cause. Mrs.Post was in town here the day before in her usual good health. 
The 
Funeral is held today, Friday, at the house at 2 PM conducted by Elder Mourer.

                               OBITUARY  
                         BLANCHE ALICE HOWLETT 
Was born July 14, 1880 near Lake Odessa and died May 27, 1908 at her home about 
two and one-half miles from the place fo her birth. On Feb, 19, 1897 she was 
married to C.Walter Post both young people having lived in this community all 
their lives. To this union, were born four children, two boys and two girls, the 
youngest being but on and one-half years old.

Mrs.Post was a young woman of excellent qualities, a loving wife and a 
sacrificing mother.  She had an unusually sunny disposition which won for her a 
circle of friends including all with whom she became acquainted.

Mrs.Post was the second youngest of eight children and is the first to join her 
father and mother who died a few years ago. She leaves her five sisters and two 
brothers a devoted husband and four dear little children to grieve and meditate 
over their great loss.

The deep sympathy of the numberless friends and neighbors is with the family in 
their sad bereavement.

Her brothers and sisters are Geo. Howlett in Colo., Herbert at Marion, Mich., 
Mrs.F.W. Compton in Nebr., Mrs O.Bretz of Albion, and Mrs.Wesley George and Mrs 
George Richards of this place.
