Sentinel-Std. Monday, Dec. 23, 1935

Mrs. Ruby P. Post, 66, widow of Jay Post, died at her home, West Main street 
early Sunday morning following a heart ailment which she suffered for several 
days. She was born in new Jersey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Phillips, who 
came to Ionia when she was a year old, living here ever since. In 1889 she was 
married to Jay O. Post, who died three years ago. Mrs. Post was a member of the 
Beatrice Rebekah lodge and the Royal Neighbor.

Surviving her are one sister, Mrs. Eula Lee, of Detroit and a nephew, Otto Lee, 
of Detroit.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her home on 
West Main street with Rev.  Paul L. Stewart officiating, and interment in the 
family lot at the Highland Park cemetery.
