Ionia Sentinel-Standard- Tues. Jan. 26, 2010


Douglas G. Postle, of Ionia, age 61, loving husband, father and grandfather, 
passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1948 in Carson City the son of Ivan and Eleanor 
(Winslow) Postle. Mr. Postle was a graduate of Ionia High School class of 1967 
and went to work for Universal Metals in Saranac until 1972. He then went to 
work for Extruded Metals in Belding, and worked there until passing. He and his 
wife loved traveling in their RV and he loved spending time with his 
grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Mary L. Postle of Ionia; daughter, Kristine 
Postle of Lansing; grandchildren, Ryan Postle and Andrew Postle; mother 
Eleanor “June” Postle of Ionia; brothers, Ivan “Dude” (Sharon) Postle of Ionia 
and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Bianca.

There will be a celebration of Dug’s life at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at 
the Ionia Free Fair Administration Building. Arrangements are entrusted to the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia. Online condolences may be made at
