Ilene H. Postle, 86, of Ionia, passed away July 19, 2012. She was born Aug. 21, 
1925 in Ionia, the daughter of Frederick G. and Loda (Linderman) Mier. Ilene 
married Leo M. Postle, April 6, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2002.

She worked for Chrysler from 1961 to 1979. Ilene was a past president of the 
UAW and she loved antiques, ceramics, and to play bingo. 

Ilene is survived by her son, Leo Mitchell Postle of Ada; daughters, Barbara 
Ann (John) Roach of Texas and Linda Marie (Eugene) Hanka of Grand Rapids; 
grandchildren, Catherine (Neil) Gage of Grand Rapids, Andrew Hanka of Grand 
Rapids, Aaron Hunt of Ionia, Adam (Dawn) Hunt of Virginia, Nathan Postle of 
Grand Rapids, and Tara Postle of Grand Rapids; 11 great grandchildren; and two 
great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, June Neumann 
and Donna Monks; and her sister-in-law, Peggy Postle.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at Lake Funeral Home 
in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment Fairfield Twp. 
Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
