Mr. Potter was 52 years of age and was a resident of Wauwaukee, Ind., and had been to Lakeview to attend the funeral of another brother, Judson Potter, who was formerly a resident of Belding and buried at Altona on Friday. He and his sister, Mrs. Paul Tyler of Mishawaukee, accompanied by her husband, were returning home and had stopped here to spend Sunday with their brother Ed. They had decided to leave for home on Monday morning and Mr. Potter, who was quite a heavy man, had walked from Ed’s residence on Pearl street to the depot and the hard walking had brought on a heart trouble of long standing. He was just about to buy his ticket and had his hands in his pockets when he was stricken and fell. Dr. Litle was called and worked over the unfortunate man for some time but the grim messenger had sealed his doom and he was carried back to the home of his brother, which he had left but a short time before in apparent health and good spirits. Undertaker Foster took charge of the remains and they were taken to his home at Wauwaukee on Tuesday, where a devoted wife was awaiting the sad home coming.
