Ionia County News - Thurs. Dec. 5, 1946

Mrs. Esther Ellison Potter was born June 15, 1867, in Easton township and 
passed away at her home in Saranac, Sunday, Dec. 1 at 7:10 a.m. She leaves a 
daughter, Mrs. Courtland McKay, two sons, Aylmer and Charles of Ionia and five 
grandchildren. She was a member of the QES. WCTU, Woman's Club, Womans 
Fellowship, and of the Congregational church. The funeral was held Tuesday 
afternoon from the Morris Funeral home with burial in the Saranac cemetery. 
Rev. Glenn McCarty was the officiating minister.
