Potter, age 79, of Fenwick, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007. He was preceded in death by two step children, Christina Mast and Mike Mast. Chuck is survived by his wife Madeline Potter, children Doug (Pat) Potter, MaryLou Pennington and Tom Potter; step children Duane (Nora) Mast, Tim Mast, Margaret Olson, MaryAnn Mast and Joe Mast, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Chuck served in WWII in Germany and was on the Ionia County Sheriff Posse for twenty-five years. He was a well respected horsemen who belonged to the Michigan Fox Trotter Association Inc., an honorary lifetime member and also the Ionia Horse Trails Association. He enjoyed horseback riding with his many friends and family. An interment ceremony will be held in the Spring at Fort Custard Military grounds in Battle Creek.
