Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Sep 1971

Louis B. Pottruff 86, of route 1, Wagar road Lyons died Tuesday at Carson City
hospital.  Born in Kent county September 13, 1885, he was the son of William and
Melissa Pottruff.  December 1908 he was married to Vera Halsted and she died in
June of 1968.  He had lived in the Lyons-Muir area all his married life the past
33 years at his present address.  He was a retired automobile mechanic and at
one time a blacksmith.

Surviving are two sons, Dexter of Lansing and Donald of Charlotte, five
grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mr. Pottruff will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir until noon Friday
when he will be taken to Lyons Baptist church where funeral services will be at
2 p.m.  Rev. C.R. Harrison will officiate and interment will be at Sunset
Memorial Gardens, Ionia.
