He was the son of Mrs. Alma Potts of this place and was a loyal and loving son. After he was stricken he was taken to the hospital at Ann Arbor and later to the home of his sister there, where she and his mother tenderly ministered to his last days. --------- OBITUARY Burton Potts was born September 23, 1873 in the township of Woodland and died at Ann Arbor July 31st. His early home was in Lake Odessa and vicinity, but for the past twelve years he has been in the employ of the Maxwell Motor Company of Detroit. He suffered a stroke of appoplexy about two months ago from which he never recovered, although he was taken to the hospital at Ann Arbor at once, and everything was done for him both a the hospital and at the home of his sister in the same city where he was later taken, that the loving hands could do for a son and brother. He leaves besides his mother Mrs. Alma Potts, four sisters, Mrs. Alfred Root, Mrs. Nelson Horn, Mrs. Chas. Walsh and Mrs. Geo. Scheidt, his father and brother having preceded him in death. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon,Rev.J. E. Cook pastor, preached nd Mrs. J. E. Cook and daughter Reatha sang. Burial was at Lakeside. -------------- CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our most heartfelt thanks for the sympathy shown us in the recent death of our dear son and brother. Also Rev. Cook for the comforting words spoken, the singers, all who sent flowers ad the bearers.
