Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Fitzjohn funeral home in
Belding for Morris B. Powell, 67, of 303 East Ann street, Belding, who died at
his home Tuesday.  A native of Ionia county, Powell was born December 2, 1893,
the son of Edward and Mary Powell.  He had lived at Belding for 25 years.  He
was employed as janitor at Gibson until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; five daughters, Mrs. Raymond Hankis, Mrs.
George Foote, and Mrs. George Chase, all of Greenville, Mrs. Charles Smith of
Lansing and Jane Powell at home; two sons, Lester Powell, of Belding and Darwin
at home; two brothers, Otis Powell of Belding and Roy Smith of Muir and seven
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be at River Ridge cemetery at Belding.
