The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, December 29, 1947
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Alice M. Powell Saturday afternoon at 
Stone’s funeral home.  Dr. J. Lee Lewis, pastor of the First Baptist church, 
officiated, and interment was in Highland Park cemetery in the family lot.  
Mrs. Powell, wife of Herbert E. Powell, died Christmas Day at her home at 313 
North Jefferson street.

Her bearers were Ralph W. Powell, Stanley Powell, Ronald Powell, Earle 
Harrison, Elson Powell and Orry Waterbury. 

Relatives attending services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Powell 
of Columbus, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Earle Harrison, Nelson Powell and Mr. and Mrs. 
Conrad Churchill and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Garlock of Carson City.
