Ronald H. Powell, 83, of Ionia passed away Feb. 22, 2012/ Je was born June 15, 
1928 in Ionia, the son of Stanley and Eleanor (Partridge) Powell. Ronald 
married Margie Thomas June 19, 1949 in Ionia. He farmed all his life on the 
family farm. He attended Shiloh Community Church, was a member of Farm Bureau 
and liked to square dance.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Margie Powell of Ionia; 
children, Douglas (Amanda) Powell of Ionia, Jon (Martha) Powell of Holly and 
Julie (Brian) Calley of Portland; brothers, Larry (Blanche) Powell of Portland 
and Rex (Peggy) Powell of Maryland; and grandchildren, Collin, Regan and 
Karagan Calley, Spencer, Heather and Lauren Powell, Alanna Pape and Ryan Powell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating. Interment Woodard Lake Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
