Lisa Lou Powers, Ionia, age 39, went to be with her Lord and Savior on 
Thursday, May 14, 2009.

Lisa was born on May 29, 1969 in Grand Rapids. She faced many medical and 
mental challenges, yet carried herself with pride and dignity. Lisa was a Vice 
President of Rivers Edge. She attended Zion United Methodist Church and was an 
avid bird watcher and a great fan of WWF wrestling shows. Her life partner, 
Karen Wiitanen will dearly miss her as will Lisa’s sister, Laura, her 
caregivers from the community mental health, he therapist Dawn, case manager 
Leah, dear friend Wendy and the Khutz family. Lisa will rejoin her precious 
grandmothers, Grandma Powers and Grandma Endicott in heaven. 

She leaves behind five sisters and her parents, Patsy Burton and William Powers.

A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Cliff Allen at 11 a.m. Thursday, 
May 21, 2009 at Zion United Methodist Church, 423 W. Washington St., Ionia. For 
those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Methodist 
Church youth group and music ministry in memory of Lisa Lou Powers.
