Jack R. Powers, 56, of Ionia, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at home.  Jack 
was born on November 27, 1957 in Ionia, the son of James R. and Laura L. 
(Stanley) Powers. 

He enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles and listening to music.  He had 
worked in construction. 

Jack is loved and survived by his children; Chad Powers of Edmore, Michille and 
Daniel Olmsted of Orleans, Lisa and Glen Bush of White Cloud, Marcella Powers, 
Kristien Powers both of Carson City, Ricky Powers of Ionia, his grandchildren; 
Chelsey, Alex, Carmen, Ethen, Alisa, Brittany, Makayla, Vanessa, Caitlyn, Paul 
B., Jaiden, Randy, Mya, his brothers; James and Theresa Powers of Palo, Joe and 
Velvet Powers of Lansing, Benny Powers of Germany and Jeff and Aimee Powers of 
Newaygo.  Jack was preceded by his parents. 

In keeping with family wishes cremation has taken place.  Memorial services 
will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Shane Prewitt 
officiating.  The family will greet relatives and friends one hour before the 
service at church.  Memorials may be given to the family.  Envelopes will be 
available at the church or Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding where 
funeral care and cremation services have been entrusted.
