Ionia County News, 20 Dec 1956

Edith V. Pratt, 80, died Thursday, December 13, at the Eckert Nursing Home.  
She was born February 19, 1876 in Keene township, Ionia County the daughter of 
Clement and LaMora Lucas.

When quite young she went west, where she married a Mr. Smith and lived in 
Boise, Idaho several years.  After her husband died she returned to Michigan 
and in 1939 married Truman Pratt, who preceded her in death several years ago.

She is survived by three nephews, Glen and Burr Higgins, of Keene township, and 
George Daly, of Portland, Maine.  Also a step-daughter, Mrs. Ruth MacDonnell in 
California.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 18, at the Morris Funeral Home, 
with Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating, and burial was in Lowell Cemetery.
