Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Mon. July 12, 1954


Mrs. Ella N. Pratt, 87, 1381 Yeomans Street died Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at 
Eckert’s Nursing Home where she had been a patient since February.

She was born in Franklin, Indiana, January 6, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. George G. Davis, and the family moved to Ionia when she was very young. 

In 1890 she was married to Seymour Pratt who died in 1952. 

She was a member of the Evangelical church.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Addie Smith of Woodard Lake and Mrs. Minnie 
McKinney of Ionia, one brother, Charles Davis of Ionia and several nephews and 
nieces. A sister, Mrs. Lorinda Phillips, and a brother, William Davis, preceded 
her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Stone-
Kauffman funeral home with the Rev. Roger Stressman officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
