Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, May 24, 1900

John P. Pratt, for 30 years or more a resident of Orleans, but for the past 
five year living north of Sheridan, died May 17, of heart failure. Buried May 
20 at Shanty Plains. Deceased leaves a wife and seven of a family of eight 
children, and was 64 years of age.

Shanty Plains (now Clear Lake cemetery)
