Mary Louise Pratt aged 86 of Saranac passed away March 9, 2007.  She was born 
October 31, 1920 in Homer, MI, the daughter of John and Hazel (Wilson) 
Ballentine.  She married Herbert Pratt December 7, 1940 in Ohio, who preceded 
her in death October 31, 2002. She was a member of the Saranac Community 
Church and a past member of the Saranac Garden Club. She worked on the 
election board of Saranac
. 
She is survived by daughters Susan and Michael Kohloff of Alma, and Sharon 
Johnson of Saranac; Cousin Robert and Jean Ballentine of Allen Park,MI; 
grandchildren Jeff Smith of Grand Rapids, Ben Smith of Grand Rapids, Drew and 
Heather Johnson of Saranac, Nicki Johnson of Saranac: great grandchildren 
Loren David Johnson and Sarah Jean Johnson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday at Saranac Community Church in 
Saranac, with Pastor John Madvig officiating. The family will receive friends 
and relatives Sunday 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the Saranac Fire 
Department.
