Inflammation of the lungs. We clip the following from the Peninsular Courier of Ann Arbor, Mich. the former home of Mrs. Pray: Mrs. Pray was a graduate of the "Misses Clark's School," of this city in the class of 1846, and well remembered by the teachers and companions whit whom she was associated, as a lady of talent and appreciation, sprightly, amiable and agreeable. Her after life was one marked by acts of kindness and self-sacrifice for the good of others. While from real love of books she kept up her own mental culture by reading and study, in the circle of her acquaintance she was the promoter of literary clubs and other scholarly pursuits, for the benefit and amusement of all. Here where she lived for some years, she will not soon be forgotten by those whom she aided among the poor and unfortunate, and her may old friends in Washtenaw county will hear of the announcement of her decease with feelings with deep regret that her days have been cut short in the midst of the usefulness. It was not our pleasure to be very intimately acquainted with Mrs. Pray, but from the limited acquaintance we had with her in the community in which she lived,; her life has been one of continued activity, and her influence for good will live long after the incentor has been forgotten by many of those who have been lifted up into a higher life by the force of her influence. Her loss is not merely to the family circle but to the entire community. Additional Comments: Burial in Woodard lake cemetery.
