He was born November 15, 1918 in Mancelona to Vern and Zeta Prebble. He attended Eastern high school in Lansing and served in the army artillery in World War II. He was an employe of Oldsmobile in Lansing 30 years. He married Margaret Hooks in November of 1958. Surviving are his wife Margaret; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Randall, of Muir, and Mrs. Edward Mason of Muir; two sons, David Prebble of Lyons, Martin Prebble at home; three brothers, Floyd of Bell Aire, Leonard of Lansing, and L. D. Prebble of Dansville; three sisters, JoAnn Prebble, Mrs. Norma Cox and Mrs. Dorothy Bowers, all of Lansing; his step-father, John Fry of Dansville; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be February 21 at 1 p.m. at Hull Memorial chapel, Muir, with Rev. Mavis Hale of Temple Baptist church officiating. Burial will be at Deepdale cemetery, Lansing.
