The Ionia County News, Thursday, July 31, 1958
Mrs. Ida May Prentice, 81, died Sunday, July 20, at Dykhouse Convalescent Home 
on South Jefferson Street, Ionia. She had been a patient there for several 
years.  

Born Ida May Beam, January 22, 1877, at Rakeman Corners, Hammelton, Canada, 
she was married to Fred Prentice.  For many years they lived in South Ionia 
where they operated a grocery store.  Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death 
in 1955.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 23, at the Stone-Kauffman 
Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul J. Knaak officiating.  Interment was in the 
Balcom Cemetery.
