Coroner Richard Hull ruled death due to a heart attack. Born August 7, 1912, at Shepherd, he was the son of Ernest and Rose Wilson Prescott. A veteran of the navy and merchant marines he was also with the USS maritime service. In 1955 he was arrived to the former Dorothy Brown who survives. He was employed ten years at Wohlert corporation in Lansing. Surviving besides the wife are three sons, Dennie Prescott of Puerto Rico, Robert and John Prescott of Muir; daughter, Sue Ellen Prescott at home; four stepsons: Winnfred Compton of Utah and Joseph Compton of Ionia, Norman Nance of Utah and Gordon Nance serving with the Army; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Gary Garnsay and Mrs. Joe Gurnee of Lyons, Mrs. Jeannie Wall of Manistee; ten grandchildren; brother, Earl Prescott of Crotton; three sisters, Idell Prescott of St. Johns, Mrs. Robert Carr of Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. Pau Spagnull of Lansing. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir. Rev. Richard Harrison will officiate and interment will be at Muir cemetery.
